Tutorial 1 - Control Tower Type 4 (B1017) - Page 3

The other internal collar is fitted to the other end of the walls, so that it looks like this.

We push the petals together at the bottom end of the walls and insert them into the hole in the bottom cone.

Glue is carefully applied between the petals and the inside of the cone and they are glued in place, one-by-one.

We make sure that the cone is firmly pressed against the bottom end of the walls until all the petals are glued down.

The upper cone is fitted in the same way. When the cones are fixed to the walls the joints between them are almost invisible.

The Approach Control Room (ACR) walls are folded into a ring shape and glued together.

Then we fold in the tabs around the bottom of the ACR walls and glue the internal floor inside it.

We're fitting the alternative floor to the ACR, so we glue the handrail around the edge of the floor.

The ACR walls are glued to the floor, making sure that it's properly centred on the printed markings.

The tabs around the top of the ACR walls are folded inwards, and these are glued to the ACR ceiling.
